The beanie from Seattle that became world famous

When we opened our shop in Seattle’s historical Pike Place Market, it soon became a destination for travelers from all over the world, who stopped by because they had seen a fellow traveler wearing the Möbii on some adventure near or far.

Perfect for lie on the go, the design of this cross-functional, versatile piece was inspired by the Möbius loop, a twisted enclosure that allows the wearer to style it as a slouchy beanie, bandana or scarf, easily converting it with a single motion.

This unique multi-functionality allows the wearer to style it as a bandana while active or to hold back hair securely and comfortably, and then convert it to a slouchy beanie for a more laid-back vibe, or slide it down as a scarf. We took this unique design and created it with all kinds of fabrics and textures, from smooth jerseys to knitted textures, two-tones and funky plaids, with a style for everyone–wherever they are and whatever they are doing.

Because of its simple design and multifunctional form, the Möbii is a favorite accessory for adventurers and active urban explorers, who also love the fact that it is durable, lightweight and packable. That’s probably why you can find someone wearing one all over the world. Despite its international fame, though, the Möbii is made right here in Seattle, so stop by if you ever come through.

A Möbius strip is a one-sided loop with no boundaries and the mathematical property of being un-orientable. If you traced the surface with your finger, you would be traversing each side without ever crossing over, in an infinite loop.

Pretty cool, right? But what does it all mean?

This ingenious form allows the Möbii to hold its shape while providing an opening, functionally a twisted cylinder. The möbius strip design creates a twisted enclosure that gives the piece a slouchy shape when worn as a hat but allows it to easily be transformed into a bandana or scarf. Made right here in Seattle, the Möbii is easy to care for and has a functional fit.
